Fires in Tennessee
Fires in Tennessee: “If you’re a person of prayer, we could use your prayers,” Gatlinburg Fire Chief Greg Miller said Monday evening as crews battled wind gusts of up to 70 mph. Absolutely heartbreaking, such an amazingly, beautiful place that is burning to the ground.
I’ll never forget our 1st trip to the Smoky Mountains, it literally takes your breath away. As we stood at the top of a mountain and overlooked so many beautiful views, that wonderful haze filled the air that we all know who have visited, enjoyed and loved the Smoky Mountains. I told all 4 of our Sons, I want you to look around at what God created, isn’t it magnificent! It’s a tragic reminder of how quickly things can be taken away. I’ve already heard so many stories from people that live in the area who are staring they had no warning, some have stated it was the “perfect storm” in regards to a weather.
Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the Smoky Mountains during this difficult time. After being in real estate for over 20 years, I see the stories everyday of how a home can change someone’s life. Our homes are everything! Our homes are where are memories are made, our children take their 1st steps, sing and dance and our family gathers. I can’t even imagine losing my child’s precious mementos that as parents, we treasure, but to lose your entire community and such a national treasure….unimaginable!
During this holiday season and after a very difficult election, I hope all of us will be reminded of what’s really important if life. I pray we all continue to treasure every moment that we have with our children in our homes, we are blessed! Make memories during this holiday season and pass them on for years to come.
